If you are new to the online stepmom community, you may find some of the abbreviations and acronyms confusing. Here are some commonly used:
DH=Dear Husband
DS/DD=dear son, dear daughter
SS13/SD6=stepson who is 13; stepdaughter who is 6
SKIDS=stepkids
BM=biological mom/birthmom
SM=stepmom
BF=boyfriend; sometimes birth father
BD=biological dad
MIL, FIL Mother-in-law, father-in-law
CS=child support
EX=ex
